Artist: Sibylle Peretti
Year :2022
Sibylle’s works, children are often portrayed as symbols of vulnerability, reborn through a new, intimate, and even mystical reconnection with nature. Her creations oscillate between scientific curiosity, fairy tales, and dreams, revealing through the image of children a sense of mystery that we may have forgotten. These children represent purity and innocence, conveying our views of isolation and savagery. She explores a world full of contradictions in her works, such as the intertwining of illness and beauty, intimacy and alienation, innocence and knowledge, which are important themes in her oeuvre.
Sibylle’s incorporation of emotion and storytelling into her works has enriched my artistic expression.
